During a stroll through the vineyards you can taste the organic Chardonnay or Merlot grapes, in addition to the local varieties such as Pecorino and Passerina. Although a little more difficult, you can also collect truffles but you need to know where to find them close to the roots of oak trees. We also offer holidays in autumn and winter with walking tours and the tasting of truffle pasta in a local restaurant - all at an affordable price.
The owner, Pio, is an expert winemaker. He is also called upon by other local wineries to plant new vineyards. It is no surprise therefore that there are some special varieties of grapes in the vineyards. "The Strawberry Grape" for example, found climbing on a wall near the entrance to the holiday homes. The variety is particularly suitable for organic growth and has a delicious taste of wild strawberries.
The Vineyard
The agritourismo TERRE VINEATE is part of a family holding with approx. 20 hectares of vineyards. The name "TERRE VINEATE" is the name that was given to it hundreds of years ago. In the vineyards, the vines were grown near to the ground - unlike the traditional Picena and with other crops such as wheat. We planted two vines on either side of the crown and kept the branches and bunches of grapes'. The harvest was the cause of many accidents due to the old wooden stairs; climbing with heavy baskets, which did not always take the weight of the people.
Today, below our holiday homes, vines and trees are grown separately. Organic grapes and truffles are specialties of our winery. The fact that our cultures are not treated several times in the course of the year like many other vine yard bed and breakfast or cottage based holidays means that during a holiday with us you can replenish your energy and find a new lease of life.
If you book a spring break in a holiday apartment or come for bed & breakfast, you will have the joy of seeing our cherry trees in bloom. This variety is planted for wood and is distinguished from the other varieties in the garden by the beautiful shape of the tree tops. Spring in Le Marche begins in March with the flowering of the almond trees followed by the bright yellow mimosas.
